No Misclassification! 
So glad you are doing this. As a small business owner I do not think everyone had thought this issue very carefully. First off, it’s the IRS that determines status. Secondly you either pay or don’t pay Federal Taxes which is what this issue is all about. What is wrong with getting everyone on the same level to compete.

Ironically, mcaa.org is on the above list, and the other MCAA – mcaa.com or the messenger courier people, is incredibly brazen about the “IC model.”
I am so thrilled you are doing this. In my industry well over 90 % of the business operate entirely, and in my opinion, illegally by using 1099 IC’s for their workforce…This industry is the spoken language intepreting industry, and many small to mid-sized language agencies are deploying unscreened, untested, and unsupervised interptreters to the bedside of NEP/LEP patients, at great risk to both the hospital, the interperter and the non-english speaking patient. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion, and I would be happy to share with you the absues many IC interperters face in the field, who obviously do not enjoy the same worker protections as agencys that provide bonafide employment
